February is the month of LOVE, and boy do we have so much love to give this year. The hug bank is overflowing, the weekends are empty and the idea of spreading a little love to those needing it right now is SO welcome.
But Love doesn’t just come in the form of cupids arrow, wobbly knees and lusting after the one of your dreams; Love truly is all around.
Over the last few years I’ve fallen head over heels, madly truly deeply in Love with Ellenor Hospice Care.
You might imagine I have a personal connection; that they took wonderful care of someone special to me or that I have experienced first hand the difference they make to adults and children in need of Hospice care both in house and at home.
Perhaps I have an inside contact, someone who I witness changing the lives of others, sharing the stories of hope, of dignity and respect, and of the relentless work the team behind Ellenor have rolled out, even through the global pandemic.
But no, it’s none of those things. I have just watched on from afar, and been a somewhat secret admirer of the passion and pride in their work, of the relentless fundraising efforts and for the services relied on by so many at Ellenor Hospice Care.
It’s for that reason alone that I continue to follow, gush and shower with compliments this wonderful charity in my local community.
So this Valentines Day, Ellenor, I’m sending you my love and support, and reminding you of ways you too can send your Love this February…

Join the Team
Ellenor are recruiting… an exciting opportunity for anyone wanting to make a hands on difference at the Hospice. There are a wide variety of both full time and part job roles currently open; from director of care, to catering and health care assistants. Support roles such as HR and marketing and specialist medical positions such as Doctors, Nurses and bank shift nurses are open to be filled. Could you be the perfect person for the team?

Share the love
Sometimes the simplest of acts such as sharing a social media post, following an account or tagging the hospice can be a bigger gift that you realise. So much of the hospice fundraising relies on awareness and educating the community about all that the hospice does, and will cast the net far and wide. Every click counts and it’s a tiny act that makes a big difference. So show your love by hitting like like like.

Give a little bit
Ultimately, to be able to give love and care to it’s patients, the Hospice relies heavily on fundraising and donations. Even the smallest of gifts makes a big difference and every penny has never meant more. The greatest way you can show you care is by making a contribution, raising funds or sponsoring a challenge. It truly is an act of love that will make a difference when somebody needs it most.
