Back in the early autumn of last year I took part in my first ever muddy run, and I have to say, I totally get why they have become such a huge thing. After all, when else can you live the reality of Saturday night TV style obstacles, with the sensation of achievement that comes with any physical challenge, and a truckload of mud to boot.

It honestly seems that with each Christmas that comes around, more and more incredible Christmassy activities pop out of the woodwork (or, more specifically, out of instagram) that sound like the perfect day festive family day out. Frankly, you can’t do them all, unless you have the bank balance of the Beckhams, but here is a little write up of one that came our way on this Christmas of 2018 which in my opinion is worth giving a go one Christmas should you get the chance… more “Christmas At Bedgebury”
It’s the first week of the summer holidays and there’s two things I like to do to mark the occasion. more “20 Things to do with the Kids in Kent this summer”
I’ll never quite get over some of the incredible opportunities opened up to me as a blogger, and this week I found myself on the press day for an exciting Call The Midwife event in the heart of Kent, just a short drive from my home at the Historic Chatham Dockyard. more “#CallTheMidwife tours at Chatham Dockyard”
There’s no doubting the fact that we are a family of wildlife lovers. Always looking for an opportunity to get outdoors and experience a little bit of Kent’s finest green spaces, we have talked about visiting Kent Wildlife Trust’s headquarters, Tyland Barn several times, but never quite got round to it (because has it EVER stopped raining?!). more “Kent Wildlife Trust; Events getting you closer to nature this Spring”
Like so many of us, I named my children along a more unusual route, and therefore finding their names on any average supermarket / garden centre personalised nick nack rack has never happened, yet. more “Kent-Made Personalised Wooden gifts: Review & Giveaway”
Margate, on the Kent coast, has always been on my radar. As a child we always holidays just down the road in Broadstairs, and although we never really spent beach days there, we would often visit Margate to see the big lights on the seafront and visit Dreamland if we were really lucky. more “#LoveMargate ; Dreamland, #GEEK2018 & Cinque Ports review”
Back in the day, pre-kids, I loved a festival – especially it was a one dayer so I could wake up the next day in the comfort of my bed. It’s something we’ve talked about doing with the kids, as more and more family friendly festivals pop up all over the capital and destinations out in the sticks. A fantastic summer day out with Music, friends and smiles all round. And maybe, one day, we’ll be rocking out at Glasto with our girls…it’s the dream right?! more “#GIGFORLIFE #GIVEAWAY – A brand new family festival in Kent for @CR_UK”
Oh I do like to be beside the seaside…..I really, really do. And none more than my childhood holiday destination of Broadstairs, in Kent.
It is probably an hours drive from where we live, but as a small girl seemed such a lavish and tropical far flung location. We camped, mostly, but also stayed in a handful of seafront hotels, apartments, cottages and B&Bs over the years. That was when we were being REALLY posh.
