Good Bubble childrens bath range review

Bath time…possibly one of the best parts of the day right? Especially in the summer, when the days suncream, ground in dirt and mud fades away to reveal the clean and sweet smelling babies again; all wrapped up in a snuggly towel, is there anything more lovely?

That and perhaps the fact that your remote control and well deserved refreshment of choice isn’t too far away…

We get through an absolute shed load of kids bath products in our house – even after the Christmas haul of novelty bubble baths, we were all out by the end of January. We have always bathed the kids every night, and with their masses of hair, even when we’d rather not wash their hair, sometimes a good old wash and condition is the only thing that’s going to help untangle it and get it looking like less of a bird’s nest.

We were asked to try out a range of childrens bath products, GOOD BUBBLE; a British brand who believe in the power of superfruits on the skin and pride themselves in 98% of ingredients being naturally derived. In fact, the Good Bubble beginnings are from a family who have generations of knowledge in soap making, with a real team goal to support their daughter Amy in making this product vision come to fruition. Their values page is a testament to their ethos, and sets a gold standard I believe all UK businesses should be striving to meet.

When it comes to our offspring, nothing is more important than their safety. From the day they are born, it’s within our nature to care for and protect them. From the food we feed them to the products we put on their skin. That’s why we’ve ensured that our products are as safe as can be: suitable for newborn skin, no tears, allergen-free and absolutely no nasties.

We are 100% sincere, and will always be committed to making bath time better for everyone. We promise to stay as ever enthusiastic in our endeavours as at day one. After all, just because our products are the most gentle, loveliest creations you’re ever likely to have at your bath side, it doesn’t mean they can’t be fun and playful too!

The two main ‘flavours’ in the good bubble range are Dragon fruit and Cloudberry. Each comes with it’s own cute mascot; a red dragon and a, erm, owl? I’m not sure what Clara Cloudberry is, but the kids definitely didn’t care – they thought she was adorable!

We set to work reviewing a Clara Cloudberry Mitt & Cloudberry extract bubble bath this week, and having googled exactly what a cloudberry is (a bit like a raspberry) we all thoroughly enjoyed a fruity bubbly soak.

A fun bath mitt never fails to get the kids giggling and encouraged to go for a good face scrub, or to wipe away an unwanted splash in the eyes.

Cloudberry is a creeping bramble grown across Scandinavia, Siberia and Alaska. Also known as the Northern Orange and Arctic Raspberry, the berries are bursting with vitamins A, C and E, which help soothe and moisturise young skin and nourish young hair. As well as loads of antioxidants, which help safeguard hair and skin from harmful outside elements.

As well as Clara Cloudberry, the girls were excited to spot ‘Mummy’s favourite’ – a little red lizard (dragon) on the Dragon fruit set of toiletries; hair & body wash, shampoo and conditioner.

According to an ancient Chinese legend, the Dragon Fruit was created thousands of years ago by a fire-breathing dragon! Be it Chinese legend or just Chinese whispers, either way Dragon Fruit is jam-packed with moisturising properties and loads of good antioxidant-thingys.  These help nourish young hair and skin to keep them in tip-top shape and protect against those pesky free radicals, which occur all around us.

Knowing the range is no tears and safe on skin, the girls had a great time lathering up and making bubbles. The separate shampoo and conditioner was good to see from a Mums point of view – let’s face it, we all know shampoo & conditioner in one just doesn’t always cut the mustard.

As someone who is continually trying to put the right foods inside our kids, it’s so good to know that the soap I’m smothering my childrens delicate skin with is packed with goodness too, it’s such a fantastic idea.

Good Bubble’s creator Amy featured on Dragons Den back in April 2014, and it’s no surprise that with the rise of awareness about what we put into our bodies, Deborah Meaden got on board in making sure that this wonderful vision could be made accessible to parents all over the UK.
