You don’t have to look far these days to see Mama Merch popping up; all over the high street, your instagram feed and all over celeb Mums – plus on a few of us too?
Love it or hate it, it’s a BIG thing right now. Whether you’re making a statement about your ‘WINGING IT’ approach, or styling out your ‘MOTHER’ label, or perhaps you prefer ‘MAMA’, or let’s not forget the dudes ‘PAPA’ crew.
When I was approached by Mr Nutcase to see if I wanted to create my own personalised mug or phone case, initially I thought twice. I love my kids, but I don’t want to drink my coffee off a mug with their faces on. But then, I realised, who said the personalised stuff had to be adorned with photos of the kids?
This is it – my opportunity to create my very own branded gear.
Armed with a basic photo editing app, I created a basic jpeg file – a pretty background and some bloggy font spelling out the name of our very own online community… #COOLMUMCLUB. I decided against the current badge just because I wanted something a little more colourful…who knows, maybe this could be the new face of #coolmumclub some day? Plus, I wanted it to match my kitchen accessories and planner. #Loser.
Literally, less than 5 minutes later and I just created my own branded Mama Merch.
What I love about this app is that you have the freedom to get totally creative – you could take your blog logo and work some magic which would be a fab way to promote your site if that’s your thing. If you run a community hashtag, then you can feel like a total pro as you accessorize with your tagline.
The great thing about a branded phone case, is that at any blogger event or conference, you are going to be waving that phone around like a beacon, selfie-ing and snapping your way through the day – so let people know who you are and where they can find your blog later.
And of course, it also works equally well in creating mugs and phone cases adorned with your favourite photo’s too – your kids, your dog, your other half…get creative and work your magic.
Disclosure; I was provided a personalised mug and phone case free of charge in exchange for an honest review. All opinions are my own.
