Top ways to be more organised

Life can be busy, and all too often, you can find yourself not knowing whether you are coming or going. This is particularly true if you have a family and everyone has different schedules and times to adhere to.

You may think that you are a relatively disorganised person who tries to be organized but never quite has the time to sort everything out. If this is the case, it is time to start sorting your life. You will soon find yourself with much more time to do the things you love and know what everybody is up to when. Here are five ways to be more organised.

Make a shared calendar

When you have a big family, it can be a nightmare trying to establish where everybody is and when. Between juggling ballet practice and swimming lessons for the kids, your book club, your partner’s tennis sessions, and the baby’s nursery sessions, you can find yourself double booking plans and finding yourself needing to be in multiple places at once.

Make a shared calendar so anyone can check it and find out where they are meant to be and when. This can be done online or on paper and created with different colors for different activities. If you are a single parent, it can be harder to get everything done on your own, and if a tragedy did happen, it is important you work with attorneys devoted to your best interests. It is worth sharing your calendar with your parents, nanny, or babysitter, so everyone knows where they should be.

Have a declutter

While a declutter can seem like a long and boring job, you will be so much more organized once you have got rid of the unnecessary items around your home. The fewer items you have in your house, the easier it will be to find things when you need them. You may find you lose things less, and it is also a lot easier to keep the house tidy and clean. Ensure that everything has its own space, and there is ample storage for all your bits and pieces.

Delegate responsibilities

It shouldn’t just be down to you to keep everything ticking along and organized. Delegate responsibility to ensure you have the time to get your tasks done. Go through your to-do list and find those that can be given to someone else or can be removed from the list altogether. Once this process is more streamlined, you will feel much less stressed and ready to tackle the jobs at hand. If you are self-employed, find out how you can outsource certain tasks to others and enlist friends and family to help with jobs such as posting and mailing out products if this is something that you offer with your business.
