Tips to reduce anxiety in daily life

There has never been such a focus on mental health as there is now. And with anxiety disorders being the most common mental illness in the UK, it is no surprise.

1 in 5 women have been found to suffer from Anxiety conditions and Common Mental Disorders, with younger women emerging as a high risk group. Anxiety has been found to affect 1 in 8 men.

While these figures are high, it is a good thing that mental health is being highlighted as more people than ever are also open to talking about their mental health struggles. If you are finding things difficult at the moment, remember that you don’t need to suffer alone and there are many things you can do to help combat this.

Being in lockdown is a challenge but it’s not going to be forever and there are ways you can help yourself to get through it. Here are some tips to reduce anxiety in your daily life…

  1. Talk about your feelings

It is important to talk about your feelings if you are anxious, rather than keep them bottled up. By speaking to loved ones, friends or family members you can reduce anxiety in your daily life. By opening up, others can help you through it and to put your problems into perspective or show you that you aren’t in this alone.

  1. Look into external methods

If you find that you have tried many things but they aren’t working, it can be an idea to look into external methods.
