Half term Halloween fun in Kent with @DemelzaHospice

Last year one of our stand out halloween memories was taking part in our local Pumpkin Hunt with Demelza Hospice.

We had been invited along and a little unsure of what to expect, the girls donned their witching gear and headed to the start point outside Gravesends borough market, where we arrived just in time to see someone had decided to dress up as a mayor….

This year is a different story, as I can tell you all with my hand on my heart that this is a half term activity not to be missed – fun, value for money, with a whole load of community feel good, and for an incredible cause to boot.

With our tickets sorted, we followed our pumpkin passport around the town, collecting stamps, sweets and smiles as we went. The community was out in force and the enthusiasm from the staff and local businesses was just lovely. So many shops were decked out in all the halloween decs and the fancy dress efforts were commendable! All for the kids, of course…

As a parent, I found myself in little gems that I never knew existed, and all in all the whole day was good old fashioned Halloween fun. Well, as old fashioned as Halloween gets in the UK anyway.

Expect to leave with a bag full of sweets, kids full of sugar and hearts full of smiles.

It’s not to be missed…

I have never tried a pumpkin hunt before but now that my kid is 3 years, I think I can give it a shot this year.
