Given that we have just returned from four days in Disneyland Paris, you’d think we’d be a bit Disneyed out. But, the fact is, when you have two young girls (and never actually grew up yourself), I’m not sure there is such a thing as too much Disney.
In an attempt to plan our next epic outing, I’ve spied that this Christmas, Disney on Ice is here in London at the 02 events venue. Running from the 20th to the 30th December, Ariel, Anna and Elsa, Peter Pan, Mickey, Minnie and friends will be donning their skates and giving dancing on ice a run for it’s money.
Having been totally absorbed in the theatrical performance ‘Mickey and the Magician’ over in Disneyland Paris, I think the girls could just be at the perfect age to sit through a performance featuring all their heroes and heroines from the classics.
With morning, matinee and evening performances, the show is a perfect way to add an extra special bit of sparkle to the Christmas period – to enjoy the build up, the come down, to spend some quality time together doing something that will create memories to last a lifetime. We have been thinking about going to the show for a couple of years now, and with the ability to drive to, park up at, dine (wine) and be home for supper the 02 offers us, this really is a Christmas day out we are all counting down to. We have already told the girls, and they are beyond excited about it! (“Quote, you are the best Mummy ever!”).
The Disney On Ice show lasts 2 hours with a 15 minute interval, and is reccommended for children over two – but you know your kids so best make that judgement for yourself – Under twos go free on laps. Shows are running at family friendly time slots of 10.30, 2.30 and 6.30.
With our tickets sorted, I have high hopes for the show. The quality of performances at Disneyland Paris were pretty epic, so we are hoping this follows in their shoes (or should I say, glass slippers?!).
Tickets for Dancing on Ice A Passport to adventure at the 02 London are available now (find them here), and could make a pretty amazing christmas present for some little Disney fans…so what are you waiting for?!…
