Emmeline Pankhurst would be spinning in her grave as I reveal that in our home, the lions share of the cooking falls under my watch. Despite a few attempts for us to spread the load, the fact is that logistically, it’s all too easy for the responsibility of putting food on the table to lie with me. more “Your turn to cook… ft @thaitasteuk easy Thai Curry Kits”
Like most kids, our daughters have been obsessed with The Greatest Showman since they first laid eyes on it. Needless to say, I knew they would jump at the chance to see a real live circus, in an actual big top with breath taking stunts, hilarious clowns, and a whole dose of #DontTryThisAtHome. more “ROLL UP ROLL UP @ThePaulosCircus comes to town”
Cruises were once associated with the older crowd, but they are becoming increasingly popular with all ages; more and more families are starting to discover the benefits of taking a cruise over a standard beach holiday. So, why are cruises more popular now than ever before and what kind of entertainment can you expect to enjoy on board? more “Going on a Cruise with the family”
Children are curious and inquisitive; they can’t simply wait to learn about everything in this world around them. If you have kids, you’ll have noticed their ability to start shooting questions at you about anything that slightly catches their attention. The best way to satisfy their curiosity is to let them play with educational toys from a young age, to allow their mental agility grow with them as they develop into budding little learners. more “Why should parents buy sustainable toys? I don’t need to remind you of the constant battle us mums have in trying to get their kids to put down their games consoles and head outdoors.
It’s hard work.
However, that doesn’t make me any less aware of the importance of trying to get the kids to embrace outdoor living in one form or another. more “The Benefits of Encouraging Your Child to Play Outdoors by Buying Them a Scooter”
Like any set of tired parents, Dad Muddling Through and I relish the occasional grown up night out, free from the wants and needs of our gorgeous, but somewhat demanding daughters. One of our favourite occasional nights out these days is a curry and escape room – a fun night out which is less about getting mortal and hitting the clubs, but brings a giggle and a bit of action (pardon the pun) around our evening. I guess nights out look a little different these days, and it’s more about enjoying a change of scene, something different, and sharing different experiences together (which don’t always revolve around being Mum and Dad). more “WHODUNNIT? Our daughters are definitely at a stage now where the possibilities of play are expanding. The baby sensory toys are being slowly outed under the cover of darkness, and whilst the imaginary role play toys are still a huge hit, particular for Tigs, she’s ready for something a little more challenging. more “Encouraging inquisitive minds with @Rubiks_Official junior range”
2018 has undoubtedly been the year of the Squishie in the Muddling Through Household. Since we were first introduced to the bizarre concept of a foam novelty shaped stress ball back in February, the obsession has taken a firm grip of our six year old, whose squishie collection has grown steadily (and slowly much to the dismay of Tigs who could sniff out a squishie shop from a mile away). more “When two heavens collide #SmiggleSquishies review @smiggle_uk”
