It’s certainly true that this year taught us how many simple joys we took for granted. From hugs with loved ones to mooching around a garden centre. For us, one of the big holes in our life was the big screen. A date night at the movies, saturday afternoon new releases and buckets of popcorn bigger than your head.

Back in the early autumn of last year I took part in my first ever muddy run, and I have to say, I totally get why they have become such a huge thing. After all, when else can you live the reality of Saturday night TV style obstacles, with the sensation of achievement that comes with any physical challenge, and a truckload of mud to boot.

If you are based in Kent and you haven’t seen a moon selfie on your social media feed over the last week, then you must be living on… the moon?

Last year one of our stand out halloween memories was taking part in our local Pumpkin Hunt with Demelza Hospice.
We had been invited along and a little unsure of what to expect, the girls donned their witching gear and headed to the start point outside Gravesends borough market, where we arrived just in time to see someone had decided to dress up as a mayor….

A day out can be just the thing to overcome that pesky cabin
fever. Whether you’re venturing into the countryside, or taking on an
unfamiliar city, that little bit of novelty can be just what’s in order after a
long week stuck in the office (or at home). But if you don’t plan your day out,
you’re probably not going to get the best from it. Just a little bit of
preparation can help you cram in everything you’re looking to get from the day
while still allowing for a little bit of spontaneity.

As a parent it’s all too often you hear the phrase “The kids have got a better social life than me”. And boy don’t we know it. Bowling, trampolining, swimming, parties (and then more parties), play dates, sleepovers, clubs, PTA events… need I go on? more “Always stay attached ; Fun times with good friends at @GoApeTribe @LeedsCastleUK”
It honestly seems that with each Christmas that comes around, more and more incredible Christmassy activities pop out of the woodwork (or, more specifically, out of instagram) that sound like the perfect day festive family day out. Frankly, you can’t do them all, unless you have the bank balance of the Beckhams, but here is a little write up of one that came our way on this Christmas of 2018 which in my opinion is worth giving a go one Christmas should you get the chance… more “Christmas At Bedgebury”
Like most of us, we break up for the half term break this week, and with two whole weeks (and a week of parenting solo) ahead, it can be a bit daunting to know exactly what we are going to do with the kids without breaking the bank or getting cabin fever! more “Half Term Fun with Demelza Halloween Pumpkin Hunt 2018”
Like most kids, our daughters have been obsessed with The Greatest Showman since they first laid eyes on it. Needless to say, I knew they would jump at the chance to see a real live circus, in an actual big top with breath taking stunts, hilarious clowns, and a whole dose of #DontTryThisAtHome. more “ROLL UP ROLL UP @ThePaulosCircus comes to town”
