The children on the bus… A summer family day out to Bluewater with Arriva Thameside service

When was the last time you went on a bus? And I’m not talking about a school trip, airport transfer or minibus to that hen do… And more specifically, have you taken your kids on a bus trip? It’s something so simple yet so many of us omit from our kids childhood in favour of the convenience of leaping in the car to get from A to B. more “The children on the bus… A summer family day out to Bluewater with Arriva Thameside service”

I first visited the Lavender fields at The Hop Shop, Lullingstone, Kent, three years ago after hitting Google in search of where I could find a sea of purple as seen on my Instagram feed. more “Kentish Lavender The Hop Shop at Castle Farm, Lullingstone, Kent”

Drusillas Park Review; The perfect family zoo day

It’s fair to say we have done every Kent based zoo, wildlife park, farm to death over the last six years, so it’s always nice to broaden our zoo day horizons. We were contacted by Drusillas Park a few weeks back and invited to come to their press day to see what East Sussex’s Drusillas has to offer families looking for an adventure packed day out. more “Drusillas Park Review; The perfect family zoo day”

A family day out to @PaultonsPark #PeppaPigWorld

Since our six year old daughter was tiny, visiting Peppa Pig World has been up there on the list of things we wanted to do. Despite cursing the hours we dozed in bed or on the sofa whilst our early riser would happily watch episode after episode on those bleak pre-6am mornings, there is no denying Peppa Pig has been a big part of our parenting lives. more “A family day out to @PaultonsPark #PeppaPigWorld”

#CallTheMidwife tours at Chatham Dockyard

I’ll never quite get over some of the incredible opportunities opened up to me as a blogger, and this week I found myself on the press day for an exciting Call The Midwife event in the heart of Kent, just a short drive from my home at the Historic Chatham Dockyard. more “#CallTheMidwife tours at Chatham Dockyard”

Kent Wildlife Trust; Events getting you closer to nature this Spring

There’s no doubting the fact that we are a family of wildlife lovers. Always looking for an opportunity to get outdoors and experience a little bit of Kent’s finest green spaces, we have talked about visiting Kent Wildlife Trust’s headquarters, Tyland Barn several times, but never quite got round to it (because has it EVER stopped raining?!). more “Kent Wildlife Trust; Events getting you closer to nature this Spring”

#LoveMargate ; Dreamland, #GEEK2018 & Cinque Ports review

Margate, on the Kent coast, has always been on my radar. As a child we always holidays just down the road in Broadstairs, and although we never really spent beach days there, we would often visit Margate to see the big lights on the seafront and visit Dreamland if we were really lucky. more “#LoveMargate ; Dreamland, #GEEK2018 & Cinque Ports review”

Disney on Ice Passport to Adventure at The 02 (REVIEW)

Disney on Ice has always been on my ‘with the family’ to do list, and like so many other big events with young kids, we have been waiting for the right time to go for it – to make sure as best as possible the girls were at the right age to maximise the return on investment of the ticket price. Ie sit on their bums for the duration of the show, know who all the characters are, and be more interested in the skating than the ice cream. more “Disney on Ice Passport to Adventure at The 02 (REVIEW)”

#GIVEAWAY Disney on Ice presents Passport to Adventure this Christmas

Given that we have just returned from four days in Disneyland Paris, you’d think we’d be a bit Disneyed out. But, the fact is, when you have two young girls (and never actually grew up yourself), I’m not sure there is such a thing as too much Disneymore “#GIVEAWAY Disney on Ice presents Passport to Adventure this Christmas”
