#coolmumclub on Pinterest

Pinterest. Love it or hate it, there’s no doubt as a blogger it is a huge tool for driving traffic for your site. I know this not because I am a blogging guru, or a pinterest master, but because I see it in my stats (Oh, and I read it on the internet). One of my posts which continues to be the main driver of my views is constantly pushed around by it’s little place on that pinterest platform.

I happen to also quite like pinterest as a tool in my everyday life. It gets a lot of slating for it’s ‘pinterest perfect posts’ but I like using it as a place to store ideas if I’m looking for presents, outfits, maybe holidays or anything else that I want to come back to later. Like a proper old school pinboard of ideas, funny that. I don’t really get hung up about the ‘perfect people’ over there – I just feel in awe of their skills and pin knowing I will probably never ever recreate their crafts.

I heard somewhere that your boards should of course contain your content as a blogger, but at a ratio of about 20:80 to other peoples stuff. Given the amount of blogs I read that shouldn’t be a problem. In fact, I’ve been busy pinning the best posts of #coolmumclub since 2016…

And then there’s also a board for all the fab #coolmumclub meet the members posts

And not forgetting the #coolmumclub instagram round up posts

So I’ve been a bit busy this last week, creating some new boards on my pinterest profile, because I got thinking. What if I could create some specific boards based on all the recurring themes of our #coolmumclub collective? And what if we had a communal place to pin our posts so we could all be spreading our work a little further?

And so, if you have received an invitation from me to join the collaborative #coolmumclub board, that’s what it’s all about. As a blogger you should be pinning your posts wherever you can in order to extend their reach and now you have an extra place to do that. If you would like me to add you to the #coolmumclub parenting board just pop me an e mail to info@mummuddlingthrough.com.

In the meantime, I’ll be busy pinning your #coolmumclub linked Thursday posts (as well as tweeting them as always between Talya and myself), under one of a number of #coolmumclub category boards. If they flick your switch you might want to follow them so you don’t miss a thing…

See you there!
