Truth be told, I’ve struggled to get back into blogging after the summer break. Maybe it’s the change in weather, the allocation of all energy into term time activities, or maybe I’ve just lacked a little inspiration. So, I thought long and hard, and thought I need to channel something I’m excited about. I mean REALLY excited about… more “Countdown to Disney”
Just this afternoon, as I was storing away the dense bag of drawings and artwork from Tigs first year at primary school, I stumbled across a box full of memories from what seems like a lifetime ago. more “Our box full of memories from The Creation Station”
A huge shopping centre may not traditionally be the top of your list when planning summer activities with the kids. However, having one of the largest shopping Malls in the UK here on our doorstep in Kent, you’d be totally missing out if you didn’t pay Bluewater a visit this summer. more “The Beach at Bluewater”
With the summer holidays almost upon us, beach days and holidays are so close we can almost smell the sun cream! Today I’m featuring Breanne from Proper and Pink with a guest post injecting a little California sunshine into our Blighty summer. So without further ado, here’s Breanne and her beach essentials roundup. more “GUEST POST: 7 Beach Bag Essentials”
We live a short drive away from Chatham in Kent. In fact, I graduated from the Medway Greenwich University campus opposite Chatham Dockyard some years back; whilst I sat in the Maritime HQ studying chromatography, I never really gave the previous life of the buildings too much thought. more “The G Unit visit…The Historic Dockyard Chatham”
I should start by saying that my kids are Vosene Kids, and that’s nothing new. I’ve made no secret of my love affair with the Vosene kids hair product range for a few reasons. Firstly, it is a natural head lice repellent; have you seen my girls hair? The dreaded head lice have thus been avoided so far, as nit combing those real-rapunzel locks is my actual worst nightmare. more “A Shrek-tacular Day out with Vosene Kids; Dreamworks Tours Shreks Adventure”
Back in the day, pre-kids, I loved a festival – especially it was a one dayer so I could wake up the next day in the comfort of my bed. It’s something we’ve talked about doing with the kids, as more and more family friendly festivals pop up all over the capital and destinations out in the sticks. A fantastic summer day out with Music, friends and smiles all round. And maybe, one day, we’ll be rocking out at Glasto with our girls…it’s the dream right?! more “#GIGFORLIFE #GIVEAWAY – A brand new family festival in Kent for @CR_UK”
Pack it up pack it in, let me begin, if I don’t squeeze in this reference, battle me, that’s a sin.
Okay, okay I’ll stop there.
So…trampoline centres. They are literally springing up everywhere lately. To be honest, I hadn’t really thought about heading on down to one as I thought the sproglets would be too weeny (age 2 & 4). I had reserved the very idea to my (growing) list of things to do when we don’t have the children around one day. i.e. in my dreams / never. more “Jump In…a trampoline arena review and #giveaway”
I haven’t really shared much in the way of guest posts before, but when Emma approached me about writing a post for cool mums about how to beat boredom this summer, I was all ears. After all, we have 6 long weeks of holidays looming upon us and I’m always open to new ideas to get the girls outdoors and away from the dreaded box when the sun makes an appearance. more “Summer Boredom Buster ideas for cool Mums : A guest post by Emma Lawson”
We made it.
The long, wet, cold British winter is behind us. The sun has made a long awaited reappearance, and albeit a little chillier than we’d like, the spring days have rejuvenated a little bit of energy in all of us.
The Garden is no longer ‘off limits’ and the children, especially Dangermouse, have been having great fun exploring every little corner of it – as though it’s the first time they have ever been out there. more “PARKLIFE…and why it Rocks.”
