The #coolmumclub is a little old place where, we can LINK TOGETHER… so enjoy and thanks for stopping by! Here every Thursday during term time with some of our favourite parenting bloggers from the UK and beyond, you can find all you need for your Thursday reading – or perhaps share a post that needs a little bit of a boost…
Well hasn’t this week been a total melt-fest. (Yes, I’m watching Love Island and I’m rapidly backtracking on my inability to get used to the ‘new lot’ this series. #obsessed). It’s also been el scorchio here in the South East and as the temperatures have soared, so has the crazy ratings in the household with one self declared potty training tot and another going down with a bug (again). Plus every bloggers nightmare – a smashed phone aargh. Still, everything seems a bit brighter when the sun is shining eh?
Ah it’s so good to be back where we belong on a Thursday! Hope you all had a great week in our absence, and whether you blogged on or kicked back and chilled, you had a lovely half term. Whilst it’s been a mixed bag in terms of current affairs, there has been quite an uplifting sense of solidarity in these great isles of ours, so let’s all hold on to that and move forward with a sense of Great British togetherness. Talking of which, have you all been and voted?! more “#coolmumclub Linky week 68”
This post was drafted before the horrifying events on Monday, and whilst it saddens me to be writing this again, I think the right thing to do is carry on – albeit it in a more subdued fashion. The original intro squeaking about our half term plans and my birthday seems so inappropriate so it’s been deleted and replaced with this.
People of Manchester, victims and families, you are in our thoughts xxx
Hey hey #coolmumclub, how the hell are ya? Hope you all had a top notch bank holiday weekend! Ours was ahem, slightly less Rock and Roll than they used to be as we set about sorting our brand new Allotment. I know, I should probably be sacked from #coolmumclub right now, but I think it’s kinda kitschy. Anyway, we’re going for it so watch this space on some Tom & Barbara style social media updates. If you’re too young to know who Tom and Barbara are, ask your Mum.
It’s good to be back crew! The two week break morphed into a bit longer than planned, as it’s just kinda hard to get back into the swing of things isn’t it? Kids bedtimes are still up shit creek, I’m only just back on top of commitments on the blog front, and now I’m finally ready to get back to biz. We are into the last term of school, and things are lining up to make the next few months a summer to remember.
